For those of you who aren't familar with stamp collecting:
A First Day Cover is an envelope canceled on the first day of issue in the official city of issue.
A Cachet is art on an envelope usually honoring the stamp in some way or the day, city or subject of issue.

Gothicpoet cachet got its start in the late 1990s and in 1999 with the 150th anniversary of the death of Poe we did three cachets, small runs. In 2000 and 2001 several cachets were produced in several small runs.
With the new Poe stamp in 2009 we were excited and renewed our status as a cachet dealer. The Oregon and Alaska cachets were designed by Chris and produced to get us back into the swing. The Poe cachet is the largest run we have done to date and the one that means the most to us. Chris did the final draft but we all had a hand in the design and it took several turns along the way.
The casual Poe reader will, we think, like the cachet and the avid follower will understand all its meaning.
